For New Year’s Eve at Opera Bar, we partnered with Applejack Hospitality to lead the creative direction and production of one of Sydney’s most globally recognised celebrations.

Built around the concept of a single universe composed of four distinct worlds, the event unfolded as a series of immersive environments — each with its own narrative, atmosphere, and purpose. From spatial design and stage environments to programming and performance direction, every element was considered as part of a cohesive creative ecosystem.

More than 50 artists across live music, DJ, dance, and circus arts were curated as characters within the world, activating the space and bringing the story to life throughout the night.

Set against the backdrop of Sydney Harbour, the result was a New Year’s Eve experience that blended cosmic spectacle with cultural energy — transforming an iconic location into a living, evolving universe of sound, movement, and celebration.
